We’re honored to celebrate the earning of the title “Air Transport World’s Value Airline of the Year.” Air Transport World (ATW), part of the Aviation Week Network, recognized Spirt as one of its 2019 Airline Industry Award Winners. Organizers credit Spirit’s industry-leading on-time and baggage delivery performance and the company’s ability to provide low fares, while also investing in the Guest experience.
Aviation industry professionals hit the links with community leaders at The Spirit Airlines Charitable Foundation’s fourth annual golf event. Together, we collected a record $1 million for nonprofit organizations.
With our vision on a great future ahead, we announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Airbus for the purchase of 100 new Airbus A320neo Family aircrafts, together with the option to purchase up to 50 additional aircrafts. The MOU includes a mix of Airbus A319, A32 and A321 models projected to be delivered through 2027.
